Tennis Welcome Statement 2018
Our membership year is changing from June – July to April – March. This will start from April 1st this year. The annual membership rates remain unchanged.
For the bulk of our current members, who are due to renew from July 1st this year, there will be a 9 month fee (annual fee prorated) from July 2018 to March 2019 to bring all members to the same membership year from April 2019.
Under blue skies and near perfect conditions for tennis, our members took to the courts on a lovely July evening to take part in the Burgers on the Balcony Competition.
The Beginners and improvers were first on, with the sunshine beaming down on them with 23c recorded on court, it was hard work and needed much needed breaks for water.
Next came the experienced members who enjoyed slightly less hotter conditions, but non the less, needed to ensure lots of liquid was taken on board during short breaks for turn around.
Then came the really serious fun part, back to the clubhouse for refreshments and burgers and the all important prize giving.
Well done to all who organised and took part. We seldom get such lovely weather conditions to play and it was great to see so many talking part.
