Tennis Welcome Statement 2018

Our membership year is changing from June – July to April – March. This will start from April 1st this year. The annual membership rates remain unchanged.
For the bulk of our current members, who are due to renew from July 1st this year, there will be a 9 month fee (annual fee prorated) from July 2018 to March 2019 to bring all members to the same membership year from April 2019.

A wonderful night of Social Tennis

After all the recent snow, the hardy tennis players of DPTC took to the courts gusto

to blow off the cob webs and play a great tournament of social tennis, followed by a welcome plate of curry, a few drinks and a good old chinwag back at the clubhouse.

The deserved winners on the night were Cathleen O’Keefe for the ladies and Chris O’Brien for the men.

It was also a chance for club President Robbie Harrold to formally recognise the former foundering committee members, who stepped down this year.

  • Secretary – Anna Kiernan
  • Ladies’ Captain – Amanda Botlon
  • Membership Secretary – Eilis Kavanagh
  • Junior Coordinator – Jane Garcia
  • Minutes Secretary – Julia Moroney

Robbie acknowledged the tremendous work the former committee members did for the club, even before it’s foundation; and commend their efforts in bringing the club to the wonderful establishment it is today.

Also: A massive shout out to Carol Rankin for organising this memorable evening.
